Northern State University's GiveNDay is a 24-hour online fundraising campaign that seeks to inspire all supporters of Northern to come together, show their pride and provide essential funding to all areas across the University. This annual event provides an exciting opportunity for giving at Northern State University unlike any other! NSU invites current students, staff, faculty, alumni, friends and community leaders to participate.

Northern State University's Gypsy Days celebration dates back more than a century, first celebrated in 1916. Over the years, the event has grown into a region-wide celebration, drawing people from around the state and region. A week's worth of festivities are celebrated on and off campus, including royalty coronation and window painting in downtown Aberdeen. It all culminates in a parade on Aberdeen's Main Street, known to be the largest in South Dakota. Gypsy Days has become a celebration not only for the students, alumni, and faculty of NSU, but also the community of Aberdeen and Northeastern South Dakota.

The NSU Foundation and Alumni Association host a variety of events for all areas of campus throughout the year.
